Pinhole PhotographyA pinhole camera uses a tiny hole to let the light in, instead of a lens. There is no view finder, so you cannot know what the camera sees until the negative is developed. The hole, or aperture, is so narrow that the light is focused enough to make an image on film, as long as the relationship between the size of the hole and the distance to the film plane is correct. The focus is soft. The depth of focus is extremely deep. The exposure is long. I use cameras I’ve made out of foam core and tape and pierced copper foil.
Lens + FilmIt is strange that so much time must be spent in a dark room in order to make these things with light.
